DESCRIPTION:2023 Southeastern Chapter SNMMI Annual Meeting\nOctober 6-8\, 2023\nWestin Birmingham and the BJCC\nBirmingham\, AL\nOnsite registration begins Friday\, October 6th at 7:00am Central \nYou are invited to attend the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging\, to be held October 6-8\, 2023 in the Forum Building at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex\, 971 22nd Street North \, Birmingham\, AL 35203.  ALL sessions will be held in the Forum Building and it is connected to the Sheraton and across the street from the Westin & Red Parking Deck. There is a skywalk attendees can use to walk from the red parking deck into the Forum.  \nThe Annual Meeting General Sessions will take place in Forum GHI\, located on the 3rd Floor of the Forum Building. Registration opens at 7:00am CDT each day. The continental breakfast will be served in the Exhibit Area\, located in Forum JK\, also on the 3rd Floor\, beginning at 7:00am CDT with the program starting at 8:00am CDT. \nIf you are attending the Student Review Course\, the sessions will be held in Forum AB located on the 2nd Floor of the BJCC. There will be signs outside each of the rooms. \nFor those of you driving in and parking a car\, attendees are encouraged to park in the red parking deck (closest deck to the Forum). THIS WILL be the only parking available on Saturday due to the UAB football game. Please note that road closures will be in place on Saturday. A map is shown below showing the location of the parking decks and Saturday closures. \nThe 2023 program committee led by Philips Scherer\, MD from Vanderbilt University Medical Center\, have organized an excellent and diverse program with many interesting and timely topics.  This year’s meeting will be filled with valuable and timely education for the Nuclear Medicine community. \nNEW THIS YEAR! The SECSNMMI will be offering an NMT Student Review Course beginning at 11:00am on Friday\, October 6th and concluding on Saturday\, October 7th The course will cover math\, radiation safety\, quality control and nuclear medicine procedures. We will conclude Friday with a Kahoot session to review the material covered. Saturday will begin with a presentation on preparing to take your board exam followed by a competition Quiz Bowl with teams from NMT programs throughout the Southeastern Chapter. If you and your cohort are interested in registering a team\, please contact us at info@secsnmmi.org. \nThe SECSNMMI Annual Meeting is approved for 18.25 CME\, VOICE\, ACPE and CAMPEP credits.
